Manuscript Evaluation

IBMC prepares the highest quality literary evaluation which provides insights on the strength and weaknesses of a literary property. The exclusive IBMC Report gives solid literary advice regarding the craft of writing and the literary marketplace as it relates to your submission. The IBMC Report provides direction and ways in which to improve the literary value of the work. Follow IBMC’s submission guidelines.   • Submit a hardcopy or an electronic version* of the complete work
  • The work must be double-spaced and one-sided
  • Include contact information (mailing address, phone number and e-mail)
  • Include self-addressed, stamped envelope with sufficient return postage or a check for $15.00 made payable to IBMC
  • Include evaluation fee (see chart below) Make check payable to IBMC or call with credit card information

    *Since IBMC edits from a hardcopy, electronic submissions will require IBMC to make a hardcopy of the work. An additional fee will apply to all electronic submissions.


    IBMC Evaluation Process

    By choosing a complete evaluation, you will have the opportunity to speak with a professional and ask questions regarding the work and the literary marketplace. In addition, the written portion of your evaluation found in the exclusive IBMC Report will further assist you in improving the quality of the work by giving sound editorial advice.

  • 72,000 words is $225.00
  • 89,000 words is $275.00
  • 100,000 words is 295.00
  • 110,000 words is 325.00
  • 150, 000 words is $400.00
  • 200,000 is $495.00

    NOTE: The evaluation does not guarantee or warrant that a particular literary property will meet with success in the marketplace. The evaluation option does not include editing or consultation services. Evaluations should not be confused with IBMC’s full editing service or our consultation service. These are separate services offered by IBMC and have their own pricing structures.
